Semogue handle variations over the years

Hello all,

I hope my message translates well as I have no skills in foreign language. I felt I had a picture of Semogue brushes that would be interesting to see, and feels fitting to post here in particular. I purchased a 730 HD awhile back and when I was putting it away with my brushes I felt something was different about this 730HD. As will be evident in my picture I have a number of Semogue handles with similar shape, but there has been changes over the years when you look closely.




L to R:

Semogue 620 (Older, trade unknown date but older)
Semogue 620 (Newer, can't find purchase date)
Semogue 820 Red (9/12/18)
Semogue 730 HD (3/23/19)
Semogue 2010 (2010)
Semogue 730 (5/24/14)
Semogue Custom Boar (2010)
Semogue 680 (Very similar to others, but indents are smaller; Vintage)

I was surprised that there was indeed a change that I hadn't noticed over the years until recently. The first 620 is how that handle was when I started in 2009, the 2010 LEs are how I traditionally remember the 730esque handles, but notice now and seem to recall I think there was a slight difference in the 730 between the two 2010 LEs. I'll have to remember to look at them again when I get them all unboxed again.

When you get to the red 620 (2nd from L), 820 Red (3rd from left) and 730HD (4th from left) you can see differences. Hopefully the picture can be zoomed in on to get a better look. It looks like using the 730 as a reference the brush right under the collar started to taper down slightly to more closely match the 600 and 800 series, and then took a deeper slope for the 600, 700, and 800 series. I think I like the style of the old 730 slightly better as seen in the two 2010 LE brushes overall as that's what I was introduced to early on, but have to say the 680 brush looks quite nice and feels nice in the hand. These are all minor differences in the large run, and they all feel great in the hand, but just had to pause and admire the changes over the years that have occurred.

I hope the post can be understood, and that others find interest in this as well!

Ao início, provavelmente a intenção foi fazer 50. Dado o sucesso da iniciativa, fizeram-se 100 a um preço de €65 cada um

O meu comprei-o algum tempo depois a um membro espanhol do foroafeitado.
Por exemplo, o Renato (rntdcarvalho) tem o nº 81...
