Hoje limpando a minha francesa preferida (obrigado GIL mais uma vez.. e nao vou cansar de agradecer) me peguei olhando para minha camiseta pois a navalha comecou a cantar e havia acabado de passar no strop;
apos o teste do cabelo e ao ouvi-la cantar.. que era algo que ela não fazia... passei no assentador e cantou novamente.
Sempre me lembro do chart abaixo.:

HHT-1 - violin : The hair doesn't cut, but it "plays violin" with the edge. This is due to the shingles catching the edge, but it's not sharp enough to penetrate. On a full hollow razor, a faint ringing sound can be heard. On all razors it can be felt with the fingertips that hold the hair.
HHT-2 - split: When it is dragged across the edge, the edge catches the hair and splits it lengthwise.
HHT-3 - catch&pop: When it is dragged across the edge a bit, the edge catches the hair and pops it. The severed part will jump away.
HHT-4 - pop: The hair is popped immediately when it touches the edge. It still jumps away.
HHT-5 - silent slicer: The hair falls silently as soon as it touches the edge.
E me peguei pensando.. "será que a camiseta pode ajudar?" .. eu nunca havia passado nada no algodão e apesar de cantar a navalha estava no item HHT-3.
Bom, passei na camiseta esticada 20 passadas retas e 10 passadas em X (sempre faco o X no final pra garantir que toda navalha passou...).
e pronto, a bendita parou de cantar, e fui para HHT-5.
Estou falando de uma camiseta antiga, com mais de 7 anos de algodao pré encolhido feito em honduras e comprada nos estados unidos. Uma malha bem grossa ainda.. mas de preta ficou cinza.
Sinceramente, recomendo o uso de linho / algodao para strops...
