Beautiful brush.Tell me, do you also make the handle in resin or you just put the knot?
Thank you for the compliment. I make the handle myself and then set the knot. My older brushes were made without a lathe using a drill press, a sander and a rotary tool (like Dremel). I now have a lathe and most of the new brushes I make are turned on that lathe by me. I use resins as well as exotic woods for the new handles. When I restore vintage brushes I remove the old knot, clean the handle up, depending on what needs to be done. I also fill the hollow handles with ballast weight and usually enlarge the knot opening for the knot I am going to install in there. Thanks for your interest!--Vladimir
I created a brush by commission made of buffalo horn and purple heart wood. Came out really well.
