Portuguese soaps or creams

As a second generation Portuguese abroad, I love everything Portuguese. I now use Proraso only, but I would love to hear your opinion about Portuguese soaps and creams. I know Antiga Barbearia de Bairro and Musgo Real, but there must be more.
What would be your favourite and how would it compare to Proraso or other 'bigger' brands?

There is a cream made by Confiança that I always said it was far superior to Musgo Real from my humble opinion.
That cream is Top Secret and costs normally only 3.5€. It has a very complex scent with notes from roses. There is also Veleiro which is a far more maritime scent but I never tested it (a failing from my part). I recomend for you to try both.

I do have Lavanda, Veleiro, Musgo Real and Portus Cale (made by Castelbel), and love all of them. Especially Portus Cale.

There's also the Antiga Barbearia de Bairro shaving soap, Top Secret, O Melhor... and i think that's it.  Havent tried these yet, but i'm sure they follow the "portuguese standarts".

The ones i do have dont shortcome, in any aspect, the "bigger" brands. Maybe even the other way around! It's a shame that they dont make hard soaps of these.

There's also Goldex (quite rare to find) and Men's Estoril Sports Line (somewhat common in the Portuguese drug-stores and available to the world trough portugalonlineshop.com). But the better ones are made by Confiança and Ach. Brito: Musgo Real, O Melhor, Lavanda, Top Secret and Veleiro.

For soaps, there's Portus Cale and Antiga Barbearia de bairro... and that's it.

Sim, eu mencionaria o Via Men, mas desconfio que esse esteja a ser descontinuado.
Está cada vez mais a desaparecer das prateleiras do Intermarché, e quando desaparece, já não é reposto... pelo menos por aqui :P

Please do not confuse the Musgo Real shaving cream with Musgo Real shaving soap.
If the shaving cream Musgo Real is very good.
In my opinion, the shaving soap Musgo Real is not for shaving, the  lather is very weak.

It is your opinion
Has I said before, in terms of performance is good but I simply hate the scent from Top Secret.

Come on gents, the OP also asked us to compare all these excellent Portuguese creams/soaps with Proraso. Since I don't have Proraso I can't give my opinion.
SR - Muhle R89 GR
Lâminas - Gillette Platinum | Derby Extra
Pincel - Semogue 2010
Creme - Via men | Lavanda | Skino
AS - Floïd Vigoroso | Williams Aqua Velva | Skino Lotion (Pingo Doce)

Comparando com o Proraso Verde, todos os cremes portugueses são melhores (Goldex não conheço). O Proraso só vale mesmo pela frescura e pelo boião quando comparado com os cremes portugueses.

I agree... skin-carewise and performancewise, the portuguese creams (specially the ones by Confiança/Ach Brito) are better than Proraso.

You can go with anyone of the above mencioned products, that they are all better than Proraso, excepting for me, Estoril Men..

"O Melhor", Top Secret, Musgo Real (all creams), for me are the best in portuguese shaving creams..
